More than 99% of vasectomies are 100% effective at preventing pregnancy. There is an important CAUTION! You must use some form of birth control until you have your semen sample analyzed by Dr. Pugach to determine there are NO sperm present in your sample. It takes approximately 8 weeks before all sperm are cleared from each vas deferens.
